“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure.
It will be fine.”
“Okay, but I’m not sure. What if I mess it up?”
“You won’t. Don’t worry, I’ll talk you though it.” He shifted the phone against his ear
and rolled his eyes toward the ceiling.
Business had taken him out of town and she was home alone. Before he left, they had celebrated her
fiftieth birthday with their grown children and he had presented her with an
iPad. Now he sat on the phone,
miles away, trying to talk her through the process of syncing the new device to
her computer.
