One. Two.
Three.
“Hey, no
peeking.”
Four.
Five. Six.
“This is
my spot. Find your own.”
Seven.
Eight. Nine.
“I need
more time, count higher.”
Ten, ready
or not here I come.
Silence
filled the yard as giggles were suppressed.
Lucy,
pigtails hanging down her back, turned away from the porch railing. For a moment she surveyed the area. A mischievous grin appeared on her face as
she noted the tell tale flashes of colorful clothing peeking out from behind
bushes and the corner of the garage. She
skipped out into the backyard looking for one of the hidden players.
