White! White! White!
Everywhere is white, blowing off the roof, covering the deck
and yard and piling up in the driveway.
It falls from the sky in large, fluffy flakes burying the exposed ground
once again in a blanket of monochrome color, dashing hopes of the sought after
green of the change of seasons. Boots,
gloves and scarves are pulled on. The
shovel is retrieved from its storage spot and put to use clearing the walk.
One more day, one more week or is it a month to go before
spring wrests the land from the snowy grasp of winter?
