The time on the clock was 2:12 a.m. A groan is expelled as she closed her eyes
again and rolled over, bunching up her pillow in an effort to get more
comfortable. In the dark she could hear
the muted, rhythmic snoring of her husband.
Not loud enough to be the cause of her wakefulness.
The time on the clock was 2:36 a.m. Too many thoughts crowded out her sleep. Did I pack enough clothes? Did we remember the bug spray? Will the dogs be okay at the kennel? Are we bringing enough food? Is the boat ready to go?
