It is good
to be back home and, yet, sad in a way.
We spent a wonderful week in a cabin on one of the big lakes in northern
Minnesota, Lake Kabetogoma, with my in-laws, fishing and taking in the sunny
days. Just being away and having the
time to relax and visit without the day-to-day hectic schedules we have at home
recharged my batteries.
I read a
couple of books, caught some fish and sat on the dock taking in the
scenery. While out on the boat we caught
sight of Bald Eagles, Deer, numerous ducks and Loons and a beaver smacking the
water with his tail letting us know we were getting too close to his
house. After a week I was ready to come
home, sleep in my own bed, reunite with our dogs, touch bases with my family
and get back to writing.
