Once upon a time in the tiny village of Carthmat a
blacksmith worked his wares. He
pounded and hammered, bending the iron to his will. He was known far and wide for his skill and integrity. All who came were served with the same
dissembling grace.
One at time he would say, nodding toward a bench along the
wall. Whether prince or common man
he greeted each in turn, expecting all to respect the one who came first.
When a bully arrived, full of bluster and swagger, he didn’t
bat an eye, simply picked him up and set him outside.
