The sun beat down on the parking lot. A young woman, her t-shirt sticking to
her back climbed out of her worn, twenty-year-old car. This stop at the grocery store would be
her only respite from the heat.
She walked toward the doors, her last few dollars in her
pocket.
Near the cart corral she spotted a wallet. She picked it up. Inside were several hundred-dollar
bills. She sighed, took the wallet
inside and turned it in.
At the counter was a young man inquiring about a
wallet. In gratitude he offered
her an award, then asked her out.
