Tis The Season

The three women approached the doors with the anticipation of children.  It was the middle of December and they were making their annual pilgrimage to the mall for a day of shopping, lunch and visiting.  Mother and daughters, the three of them reconnected in this ritual of female bonding.

In silliness they teased each other, holding up outrageous items for consideration.

“How about this?”

“Ha-ha, very funny.  Where did you find that?”

Soon they were burdened with bags and packages, having found something special for each name on their lists and with hunger nipping they headed to their favorite restaurant.
